Interesting that Tuchel has picked both Anderson and Wharton for these qualifiers, while Phil Foden misses out after playing only 15 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.
Tuchel’s thoughts on Grealish and Alexander-Arnold will be illuminating, with only eight games to go until the World Cup squad is announced.

Will Tuchel turn to Grealish and Wharton?

Obviously Elliot Anderson is the big talking point this morning, with England needing more midfielders capable of setting and maintaining a tempo if they are to go deep at next year’s World Cup.
But other subplots will emerge today, with Jack Grealish’s move to Everton making a recall more likely. Can Thomas Tuchel really overlook Adam Wharton again?

Trent Alexander-Arnold OUT

Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander Arnold is set to be left out of Thomas Tuchel's England squad, according to the BBC.

The former Liverpool man has recently lose his place in the Madrid line-up to the returning Dani Carvajal,

Has Ivan Toney earned a recall?

Ivan Toney's exploits in Saudi Arabia (24 goals in 31 games) for Al-Ahli will NOT earn him a recall to this England squad, according to reports.

He's weekly salary in the region of £500,000 will have serve as remote consolation.

How has life been under Tuchel so far?

England have been picture perfect in qualfiying for the 2026 World Cup with three wins in three games with six goals scored and none conceded.

Granted, the opposition was Albania (2-0), Latvia (3-0) and Andorra (1-0).

Will Tuchel keep Henderson and Walker?

The England boss has remained loyal to his veterna stalwarts thus far citing their importance in the dressing room, but will form play a role in his decisions?
