Caitlin Clark reveals Taylor Swift's reaction to her new 'Friendship Bracelet' Nike shoe... as fans eagerly await the release

Caitlin Clark has revealed that Taylor Swift is a big fan of her new Nike signature shoe, after the singer inspired its 'Friendship Bracelet' design.

The Indiana Fever star has become friends with the pop sensation over the past few years, in part thanks to Swift's now-husband Travis Kelce connecting the pair.

Clark has long been a fan of Swift's music, and that has been taken to a new level with the decision to design the new Nike shoe with her in mind. 

The 'Friendship Bracelet Caitlin 1's' are expected to drop in February next year, but Clark herself revealed on Friday night that she has already heard Swift's opinion on the shoe.

When quizzed by reporters ahead of her latest game, she smiled and simply stated: 'Taylor likes them.'

Opening up more on the shoe and the design, she added: 'These are probably some of the ones I was most excited about. Obviously I had the Kobe one but these are even better and it'll come with some charms that everybody can pick and kind of make your own.

'Obviously I have CC 22 on mine, and then some other charms, but just pretty fun. The friendship bracelet thing has really come back in the last four years or so, and obviously what Taylor has done has really brought that to life.

'I think it's just really cool and really powerful, the amount of friendship bracelets I receive when I'm signing autographs, that's always what people want to make for me. 

'This is something that I can give back to the fans in a way, you can take this shoe and make it your own. I think it'll be popular among young girls but I hope boys wanna wear it the exact same way. I think it's pretty cool... I feel like these will probably be a hot commodity, I would assume!'

That would be a fair assumption from Clark, who has become far and away the biggest name in the WNBA since being drafted No 1 overall out of Iowa.

Clark's public love for Swift and her music, meanwhile, stems back to 2023 when she attended an early Eras Tour show with her college friends.

She later went to two more shows in Indianapolis in November 2024, and Swift then sent her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise along with a note saying that Clark was 'inspiring to watch from afar'.

Clark later joined Swift in a VIP suite at Arrowhead to watch Kelce and the Chiefs, also extending an invite for the loved-up pair to come and watch her at a Fever game. 

Caitlin has begun wearing the shoe on court in the WNBA, debuting them this week to much fanfare.
