A Channel Nine reporter was swamped by hysterical Brisbane Broncos fans after their team ended Penrith's five-peat dream with a stunning 16-14 comeback victory to set up a grand final showdown with fierce rivals Melbourne.
Caxton Street was a buzz with Broncos fans celebrating their side's huge win against the reigning premiers.
And one reporter, Abby Geran, was seen being mobbed by excited Brisbane fans at the Caxton Hotel, after their side booked spot in the NRL Grand Final.
They will take on the Storm on Sunday October 5.
The defeat means that Penrith's reign as the reigning premiers will come to an end after the Panthers held the title for 1463 days.
