Tickets for the 2025 Ryder Cup were some of the most expensive in history, with a face value of $750 for the cheapest ticket. It appears some fans are willing to eat a massive loss rather than see the struggling Team USA again.

Earlier in the week, third-party ticket sellers were advertising tickets for Sunday in the range of $775 and higher - surpassing $800.

But that was before the United States put up a horrific and embarrassing Friday and Saturday performance - with Team USA down 11.5-4.5 going into Sunday's singles matches.

It appears American fans want nothing to do with any attempts on a comeback.

As of 8:00pm ET on Sunday night, the cheapest ticket to attend Sunday's singles matches at Bethpage Black will only run you $294 on StubHub - constituting a loss of over 60% from the face value of the ticket.

That ticket doesn't just get you access to the grounds at Bethpage Black, but all the food and non-alcoholic beverages that you can eat.

Ticket prices for Sunday's Ryder Cup finale are plummeting on third-party ticket websites

Team Europe only needs to win two-and-a-half points to retain the Ryder Cup on Sunday

But not even unlimited cheeseburgers and Gatorade seems to be enough to convince American fans to keep their tickets and make the trek to Long Island.

Team USA has won just a single foursome match this year - coming this morning when Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Young defeated Matt Fitzpatrick and Ludvig Aberg.

Luck did not find the Americans in the afternoon as the only victorious group was Xander Schaufele and JJ Spaun over Sepp Straka and Jon Rahm.

With Team Europe only needing two-and-a-half points to retain the Ryder Cup, Sunday's singles matches will prove to be enticing.

It begins when Justin Rose tees off with New York native Young. They're followed by Justin Thomas vs. Tommy Fleetwood and DeChambeau vs. Fitzpatrick.

Following that will be the most anticipated match of the day when the struggling Scottie Scheffler faces the tournament's hottest golfer, Rory McIlroy.

It might be over by that point, but the rest of the pairings are as follows: Patrick Cantlay vs. Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele vs. Jon Rahm, JJ Spaun vs. Sepp Straka, Russell Henley vs. Shane Lowry, Ben Griffin vs. Rasmus Hojgaard, Collin Morikawa vs. Tyrrell Hatton, Sam Burns vs. Robert MacIntyre, and Harris English vs. Viktor Hovland.

The matchup between English and Hovland may not even happen if the Norwegian can't continue the tournament. He pulled out of competing late on Saturday with a neck injury.

It may lead to the institution of the 'envelope rule' - where an American golfer, whose name is sealed in an envelope, will sit out in the case Hovland can't play.
