The bragging rights stay on the red half of Merseyside.
Liverpool are cooking on gas this season. It's now six wins from six in all competitions, and we haven't even seen them play their best stuff.
Well, I say that, but they were electric in the first half against Everton today. Just like they did on Wednesday, the Reds came flying out of the traps like a train.
Ryan Gravenberch continued his stellar early-season form by morphing into both Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo at once to spectacularly open the scoring.
Not long after, Hugo Ekitike bagged his fourth goal of the season, and Liverpool were well on their way to victory.
But then came the crumble.
Once again, they decided to invite the opposition to have a crack at them, which Everton duly accepted. Idrissa Gana Gueye gave the Toffees hope as Liverpool looked likely to throw another two-goal lead away.
But this time, they held on. They stay top of the league with a perfect record.
Now, I am going to head off as I need a break before the blockbuster game at Old Trafford later.
See you there.
