Former WWE world champion Bill Goldberg has hit out at his send-off from the sport after a disappointing retirement match last weekend.
Goldberg, a five-time WWE champion, said he was 'p***** off' at the way his last bout with current champion Gunther was handled.
The former wrestler and NFL footballer, who was also the WCW champion and has been inducted into the WWE hall of fame, complained about his post-fight speech being cut by the broadcaster.
'Let's just say I'm p***** off at the way I went out,' he said on The Ariel Helwani Show.
'I put so much into it and I don't feel as though the effort was reciprocated to put a stamp on what I accomplished.
'I'm not going to say I'm not ecstatic about the opportunity that I got, but I was a WCW guy.

I think it could have been done a little bit differently. That's all. I'm happy with my performance. I'm… pic.twitter.com/VVQoKdLBkr

'I don't know, I think it could have been done a little bit differently, that's all.
'I'm happy with my performance, I'm happy with the setting but could it have been better? Absolutely, it can always be better.'
As Goldberg took the microphone to confirm he had just completed his last fight, his speech was cut short by the broadcaster seemingly short on time.
When pressed for more detail on what could have been done differently, Goldberg turned to the matter of his speech.
'There's about 100 things,' he said. 'I did three interviews beforehand... I did three. In six months.
'They cut me off 30 seconds into my speech bro, you don't do that.
'It's live television and you can plan for it. I know it is what it is.
'The match might have gone long, whatever it is, but I just think it could have been a little classier prepared than it was.
'I'll just say that's a mild understatement. Come on, man.
'They wouldn’t do that to Taker right? They’re not gonna do that to Cena, Cena’s gone around the world doing his retirement thing.
'Mine was just a World Heavyweight Championship match.
'And to be honest, I’m gonna catch hell for this…I don’t care, I’ve had World Heavyweight matches all the time, that doesn’t do anything for me - it just felt a little eh to me.'
