NFL fans were left concerned over the weekend by Tony Romo's appearance as the former Cowboys star looked 'unrecognizable' during a CBS broadcast.
Romo, who retired from the sport following the 2016 season, looked noticeably tanner than he did during his playing days as fans had a wide range of reactions.
'What did they do to my sweet prince,' one wrote.
'Holy S*** what happened to Romo,' a second said.
'Wow didn't even recognize him,' a third added.
And a fourth said: 'Y'all be forgetting that man is Mexican we're used to Tony Romo, now we finally get to meet Antonio Ramiro Romo,' as they referenced the quarterback's legal name and Mexican heritage.

Romo last played in the NFL in the 2016 season before transitioning to broadcasting
Romo was on the call for the Chiefs-Ravens game on CBS, as Kansas City knocked off their AFC rivals to improve to 2-2.
The ex-Cowboys quarterback, 45, has been calling games since 2017 as he's struck up a strong partnership with the legendary Jim Nantz in the booth.
Ahead of this season, the quarterback spoke exclusively with the Daily Mail about his approach to the role - which he has made his own through his propensity to predict plays before they unfold.
'There's so many notes over the years, honestly, that I’ve taken. It's like one of those things where there's not a scoreboard… my job is to literally make people at home enjoy it and get the most out of the experience,' Romo said.
'And I work really hard at that, because I know how important these games are, and I also know how important it is to the players, the coaches, everyone in the organization. I mean, these are huge games.'
He continued of his clairvoyant style: 'I feel like when I first came in, I kind of wanted to do things a little different, and I think we did a good job, basically being me and trusting my instincts,' he said.
'And you never know how it’s gonna go, but it was a home run. And I think that kind of set the tone, just for my baseline about who I’m going to be as an analyst and broadcaster.'
The four-time Pro Bowler also spoke ahead of the season (and before the team traded away Micah Parsons) about how he was 'cautiously optimistic' for Dallas.
Following a bonkers 40-40 tie with the Packers on Sunday night, Dallas is 1-2-1 heading into a matchup with the Jets.
