Jalen Hurts may be best known for launching darts down a football field but now the quarterback is testing out his skill with a pen.

The Philadelphia Eagles star, 26, announced on Monday that he is the author of a new children's book titled, 'Better Than a Touchdown.'

The football-themed book, which is illustrated by Nneka Myers who previously worked on the The Littlest Fans series' Beyonce-themed children's book, is said to center around the messages of friendship and teamwork.

'Some of the most valuable lessons I've brought into my adult life were passed down to me during childhood, like the importance of doing something bigger than yourself,' Hurts told the TODAY show.

'I'm excited to share some of that wisdom with a new generation of kids in, "Better Than a Touchdown."'

The book is available for pre-order on Penguin Random House for $19.99 and will be released on March 10, 2026 - over a year on from Hurts and the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory.

Jalen Hurts announced Monday that he has written a football-themed children's book

The announcement came just four months after the signal caller won the Super Bowl

The signal caller led the Eagles to a crushing 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans in February.

Hurts was one of several Eagles stars who skipped the traditional trip to the White House to meet Donald Trump in celebration of their championship triumph

'I wasn't available,' he told reporters. 'I don't think that's pertinent. Everyone who went, and was available, they seemed to enjoy themselves.'

Hurts was far from the only Eagles star to miss the trip, as the likes of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Jalen Carter were also not in attendance.

But the dominant win, which came as revenge for the Chief's comeback over Philadelphia in the big game back in 2023, hasn't been the only milestone achievement for Hurts this year.

The Super Bowl MVP married his longtime girlfriend Bry Burrows earlier this year, he revealed in an interview in April.

Hurts and Burrows sparked marriage rumors when Burrows was seen wearing a ring on her right hand as she celebrated with the quarterback following Philadelphia's Super Bowl LIX win over the Chiefs in February. Hurts also appeared to be wearing a band of some kind on his left ring finger before the game.

Two months later, it's been revealed that the pair are in fact married, as Burrows was referred to as Hurts' wife in a new Men's Health interview.

The 26-year-old is currently gearing up to defend Philadelphia's title in the 2025 season

While the quarterback did not expand upon his relationship, he did show off a sweet message that he received from Bryonna on a post-it note.

'You are exactly where you are supposed to be. I love you. Follow God! I follow you,' it read.

Hurts and Burrows confirmed their engagement last September, with Hurts popping the question in a romantic beachfront setting.

Despite having already confirmed their marriage, Hurts and Burrows toasted their wedding in an elaborate celebration earlier this month.

The happy couple rented out tje Four Seasons hotel in Napa Valley for a weekend to celebrate their nuptials with their nearest and dearest, according to Page Six.
