The NFL is reportedly investigating the Philadelphia Eagles' head of security, Dom DiSandro, after a former player alleged a team employee once helped him smooth over a car crash.
Ex-NFL star and TV personality Emmanuel Acho, who made the claims, spent time with the Eagles, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants during his career and never named DiSandro.
Following San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's mysterious car crash in July, Acho claimed a team official once helped him out when his car rear-ended another after practice.
'I [contacted] one of our security people,' Acho said on his Speakeasy Podcast at the time.
'He says, "Acho, when the cop shows up, send the cop away. I'm going to send you another cop. And that other cop is going to say it wasn't your fault. It was their fault." I was like, "Wait, they do that?"
Acho then alleged that a second police officer did show up and pinned the blame on the other driver. He added that once the other driver realized he played for the Eagles, she claimed her and her daughter had been left injured.

Acho added: 'Our head of security had to offer them two home tickets plus signed jerseys and then were like, "Oh, no, we’re fine."'
Longtime Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn posted on X on Wednesday that the NFL 'is still investigating Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro based on comments made by Emmanuel Acho on his Speakeasy Podcast back in early August.
'Acho who played for three NFL teams never mentioned a name. But it has been widely speculated he was referring to Big Dom.'
The Daily Mail has contacted both the NFL and the Eagles for comment.
DiSandro, affectionately known as 'Big Dom' throughout Philadelphia and across the NFL, is the senior adviser to general manager Howie Roseman, chief security officer and gameday coaching operations executive.
The 48-year-old DiSandro, a burly guy who prefers to keep a low profile but is often in front of television cameras, oversees all safety and security matters for players, coaches and executives.
He also directs security at the team's training complex, is responsible for security measures related to team travel and logistics, and provides education on the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Last year, the NFL fined the Eagles $75,000 because DiSandro used his cellphone in a prohibited area during a preseason game.

Back in July, 49ers coach Shanahan was involved in a nasty car crash that left him with a concussion, broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken hand and more than 40 stitches to close a cut over his eye.
Shanahan collided with another car, driven by a 21-year-old woman in Palo Alto, after reaching for his phone while his Tesla was in autopilot mode.
The July 14 incident has been shrouded in some mystery after the police refused to release an accident report or bodycam footage. To muddy the waters further, officers initially blamed the other driver in the collision report, only for Shanahan to take responsibility in a later statement.
