'Awful from Chelsea defensively'

Bobby Manzi at Stamford Bridge:

Brighton back in it. Awful from Chelsea defensively. Pedro Neto was all over the place while Maxence Lacroix was caught the wrong side of his man. They had been solid up until that point.

WHAT A BEAUTY!

What is this game? It's goals galore at the Bridge and Brighton have one back.

It's quite a ridiculous finish from Malick Yalcouye, who produces one hell of a volley that smashes off the post and goes in.

Game on? Surely not...

Chelsea 3-0 Brighton

This is some statement, my word.

I knew this Chelsea team were talented, but damn, I didn't realise they were this good.

They are having so much fun out there and Brighton simply can't cope with them.

I think they are more than just a title contender, you know.

HE DOESN'T MISS THIS TIME!

Joao Pedro was never going to mess up another opportunity, and he silences the Brighton fans with that one.

Chelsea rip through Brighton again and the ball is worked to Pedro, who drills the ball into the bottom corner.

The Blues are the real deal.

CHANCE! Chelsea 2-0 Brighton

Much, much better from Brighton.

They finally give Emi Martinez his first real thing to do in a Chelsea shirt, and the new boy does well.

A lovely ball is swung into the box and Malick Yalcouyé gets on the end of it, but at full stretch can only find the gloves of Martinez.

A positive move, though.

Brighton fans really do not like Joao Pedro, jeez.

Ever since that missed sitter, they have been chanting all sorts of abuse at the Brazilian.

I would write what the chants are, but they are so bad that I actually can't.

I wouldn't have a job anymore if I did...

'Sitter'

Bobby Manzi at Stamford Bridge:

That was an absolute sitter… Joao Pedro had to score against his former side. Brighton fans take the opportunity to jeer him, singing 'what a waste of money'.

NO WAY?

I can't believe it; I actually can't believe it. How on earth has Joao Pedro not scored there?

I was actually just about to write about how much of a delight he is to watch, but then he misses a sitter. You'd bet your house on him scoring from six yards out while in miles of space, but no.

Not even on target! Mental.

'Alonso cedes control of every set-play to MacPhee'

Bobby Manzi at Stamford Bridge:

Xabi Alonso cedes control of every set-play to Austin MacPhee, both defensively and offensively. MacPhee leaps up from the bench and comes to the edge of the technical area while Alonso takes the opportunity to sit down and converse with his assistants.

Brighton fans mock atmosphere

Kieran Gill at Stamford Bridge:

Brighton fans singing at Chelsea: ‘Do you want to buy a song?’

ChelseaPremier LeagueBrighton

Chelsea 2-0 Brighton

That's one of the biggest cheers of the game so far.

It comes because Emiliano Martinez just does his job and comes out to collect a corner with ease.

That shows just how scarred these fans are...

Chelsea 2-0 Brighton

Chelsea may have ripped through Brighton already, but they aren't having much of the ball.

They've only had 28 per cent possession...

That just shows that having hold of the ball means absolutely nowt in football these days.
