Danette Colbert, known as the 'Bourbon Street Hustler,' has been convicted of negligent homicide over the death of reporter Adan Manzano ahead of Super Bowl LIX.
Manzano, who worked for Telemundo in Kansas City, was just 27 when he died in the build-up to the Chiefs' Super Bowl clash with the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
Colbert, 49, was arrested on February 7 after she accompanied Manzano to a hotel room where he was later found dead.
On Thursday, Colbert was also convicted of racketeering. So was her accomplice, 35-year-old Rickey White.
The Jefferson Parish district attorney described them as 'a prostitute and her pimp' and claimed 'they and others were engaged in a years-long scheme in which Colbert and other prostitutes lurked in New Orleans’ tourist areas in search of men whom they could lure to their rooms.
'Along the way, they secretly provided their unwitting victims with sedatives that would cause them to fall asleep. They then would steal their cell phones, credit cards and other items of value, including pricy watches.'

Manzano was 'their last known victim' and both Colbert and White were charged with manslaughter in his death. But the jury found the so-called 'Bourbon Street Hustler' guilty of a lesser charge - negligent homicide - while White was cleared of manslaughter.
They are slated to be sentenced on September 28. Colbert's negligent homicide conviction carries a maximum sentence of 10 years. She was last year sentenced to 25 years in prison in an unrelated case.
Manzano's death came less than a year after his wife, Ashleigh Boyd, tragically died in a car accident. The couple's young daughter is now without both of her parents.
Exclusive CCTV images obtained by the Daily Mail showed Colbert and Manzano arriving back at the Comfort Inn hotel in Kenner, Louisiana together before she left on her own.
An autopsy found that Manzano died from a combination of alcohol, benzodiazepines - depressants that include alprazolam - and 'positional asphyxia.' He suffocated with his face in a pillow.
The Jefferson Parish district attorney said that after leaving Manzano's hotel room, Colbert headed to a convenience store, where she used one of his credit cards to buy a charger for the cell phone she had stolen from him.
Colbert also filmed several videos, including from inside Manzano's hotel room 'while he lay dying or dead,' Assistant District Attorney Jenny Voss told the court.
Among the videos she took, Colbert 'recorded herself marveling over the information that Manzano had stored on the cell phone related to his coverage of the Super Bowl, including the hotels where the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were staying and where the teams were practicing.'
